Irish Girl & Morris Man Knitted Dancing Dolls

Irish Girl and Morris Man Knitted Dancing Dolls

Combining the charm of traditional knitted dollies with the fun of finger puppetry, our range of Knitted Dancing Dolls are the answer for anyone who's ever wondered what it might be like if a favourite doll could suddenly come to life.

Inspired by two world-famous traditional dance styles from Ireland and England respectively, these patterns contain all the detail you'll need to make your own Irish Girl and Morris Man Knitted Dancing Dolls. The costumes for both dolls have been lovingly designed to include all of the instantly recognisable details we know and love about Irish and Morris Dancing, ranging from the Irish Girl's bright green dress and cute curly hairstyle to the Morris Man's flowery hat and colourful sashes - it's all in there!

Unlike most knitted puppets, the finger puppet element of the Knitted Dancing Dolls is almost impossible to detect when not in use, making them ideal for display as well as play. The secret is in their hollow legs - when it's time to dance, all you have to do is slide them onto two fingers and you're ready to go!

Both dolls are knitted using 100% acrylic yarn and measure approximately 21cm in height (excluding hats). The patterns are best suited to knitters with intermediate to advanced knitting skills.

And remember - if you've always been put off dancing because you think you have two left feet, then these are the patterns for you. If you can quickly drum two fingers on a table top then you're going to be a natural at knitted Irish Finger Puppet Dancing!
