Knitted Piggy Pals

Continuing on the agricultural antics with a natural counterpart to our Miniature Pony Pals pattern, we're delighted to announce the launch of "Piggy Pals", a brand new pattern that's available to buy right now as a Kindle Edition from the Amazon UK website.

In this pattern, you'll find all the detail you'll need to make the two adorable mini mascot dolls featured in this collection - Lady Petunia the Pig and her devoted keeper, Peter. For extra fun, the pattern also includes details on how to make a winner's rosette for Petunia as well as a lovely bucket of knitted swill.

The design for Lady Petunia is modelled on the Large White breed of pig. Alternatively, why not invent a breed of your own simply by varying the colour of yarn used to knit your pig?

As has been mentioned earlier on this site, ideas for new knitting patterns can come from the most unlikely of sources, but the original concept for the "Piggy Pals" pattern was a new one even for me - the discovery that my great-great-great Grandfather, Samuel Shepherd was a prize-winning pig breeder in West Yorkshire back in 1849. For that reason alone (not to mention the fact that my family and I wouldn't be here today if it weren't for the part he plays in our family tree), this one's dedicated to you, Samuel!

To read more about our new Piggy Pals pattern, please see our Patterns to Buy page from where you can click on through to the pattern's dedicated page on the Amazon UK website.

Happy knitting!

Clare
