Look who's out of hibernation this Spring!
Posted 26th January 2019
Happy New Year, everyone! And with January almost done and dusted already, what better way could there be to get your next twelve months' worth of knitting started than with a brand new pattern that positively shouts "Springtime!", because despite the weather outside, Spring really truly is on its way.
And so to that end, we're delighted to be able to announce the launch of our Toby Tortoise Knitting Pattern, available right now for purchase as a Kindle Edition via the Amazon UK website.
For anyone who might be wondering, the design for this sweetly soft-shelled tortoise was inspired by an episode of one of our favourite TV programmes - Channel 5's "The Yorkshire Vet" - in which the real life Toby Tortoise, feeling a bit "meh!" on waking up from his annual hibernation (and who among us doesn't know that feeling at this time of year?!) was helped by the brilliant vet and his team to regain his appetite for life, long grass... and dandelions!
Measuring approximately 26cm in length from the tip of his nose to the end of his back legs when made to the tension in the pattern, our woolly Toby Tortoise is knitted using 100% acrylic yarn, and as a pretend pet requires absolutely no downtime for hibernation, vets visits or even a back garden full of dandelions to snack on - much as you might wish he would!

Happy knitting!
